Express Entry Immigration Canada

Express Entry is a system that lets Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invite and manage people with skilled work experience to apply and immigrate to Canada. Introduced in January 2015, the Express Entry System speeds up the processing of permanent residency applications to six (6) months or less. At Dastur Immigration Services, we help you navigate through this system and gain permanent residence in Canada if you’re an eligible skilled worker.

Skilled workers can apply for Canadian Permanent Residency and immigrate if they meet the requirements of either  Canadian Experience Class  (CEC),  Federal Skilled Worker  (FSW),  or  Federal Skilled Trades  (FST) programs. If you want to work and settle in Canada permanently, we will help you:

Frequently Ask Questions

An applicant is assessed on several factors and issued a comprehensive ranking system (CRS) on the following criteria:

  • The applicant’s education level
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English fluently (French is optional except for certain provinces)
  • The applicant’s experience level & skills
  • A Canadian job offer
  • Spouse’s education, language & work experience
  • The applicant profile is submitted to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) under the Express Entry Pool.
  • An applicant is chosen based on CRS scores under the Canada Express Entry Draws.
  • An applicant with higher scores will have greater chances to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) and a chance to migrate to Canada as a skilled migrant.

The latest CRS cut-off score is 742. This is the recent draw in 2021. Anyone with this score or higher will receive an invitation to apply for Express Entry.

In general, to be eligible to apply to Express Entry as a skilled worker, you must be under 30 years old and have university or college degrees with skilled work experience and moderate proficiency in English. You must have at least three years of skilled work experience. Other factors that boost the CRS score are bilingualism in French and English, a Master’s degree or PhD education, Canadian work or educational experience, an employment offer from a Canadian company, and a nomination from a provincial nominee program.
